Planned times stay informational. ShiftAlong changes the shift record when you act—not simply because a countdown reached zero.
Paid Break and Lunch
Record Paid Break and Lunch as distinct parts of your shift. Estimated earnings continue through a paid break and pause during an unpaid lunch based on the times you enter.
Worker-controlled overtime
Turn the app’s 1.5× overtime estimate on when it applies to your shift, enter an earlier effective time, or correct and cancel it. ShiftAlong does not decide your legal overtime eligibility.
Forgotten-clock-out safeguard
If a planned shift end passes while the shift is still active, ShiftAlong can check in. You can clock out now, enter an earlier finish, or confirm that you are still working.

ShiftAlong is a personal motivational and informational tool. Earnings, overtime, hours, pay-period totals, break information, and other amounts shown by ShiftAlong are estimates based on the information you enter and the settings you select.
All earnings amounts shown by ShiftAlong are estimated gross earnings before taxes, withholding, deductions, benefits, garnishments, or other amounts that may be taken from your pay. ShiftAlong does not calculate or estimate your take-home or net pay.

ShiftAlong is not a payroll system, timekeeping system, legal service, tax service, or employment-law compliance tool. It does not determine the wages or overtime compensation you are legally entitled to receive.
Your actual gross pay and take-home pay may differ from ShiftAlong's estimates. Pay and overtime rules can depend on factors ShiftAlong may not know or account for, including your employer's defined workweek and pay period; federal, state, and local law; overtime eligibility or exemptions; collective bargaining agreements; employment contracts and employer policies; bonuses, commissions, differentials, premiums, tips, or other compensation; paid or unpaid time; rounding and payroll practices; and other circumstances specific to your employment.
Any default settings provided by ShiftAlong, including workweek boundaries, overtime thresholds, overtime multipliers, or pay-period settings, are provided only as starting assumptions. A default does not mean that the setting is legally required, applies to you, or matches your employer's payroll practices.
You are responsible for confirming your pay rate, workweek, pay period, overtime rules, and other settings with your employer, pay statement, collective bargaining agreement, or other authoritative source.
If you begin using ShiftAlong after a workweek or pay period has already started, estimates may be incomplete or incorrect unless all information needed to calculate that period has been entered.
Do not rely on ShiftAlong to determine your take-home pay, whether you have been paid correctly, whether your employer owes you wages or overtime, or whether you should take or refrain from taking any employment, financial, tax, or legal action. ShiftAlong's estimates do not replace your employer's official time and payroll records or determine your rights under applicable agreements or law.
